Jim Henson was born in 1936 and is best known from what we all know as “The Muppets”. Jim passed away in 1990 from Streptococcus pyogenes (organ failure due to bacteria). He performed in various television programs from Sesame Street and of course The Muppet Show.

Born and raised in Mississippi he is one of the most well known puppeteers in American History. To date many of us young and old enjoy the Muppets, while they may seem like it’s a show just for kids I know many adults who enjoy some of The Muppets classics, you are probably most familiar with characters like Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy, there are quite a few to name.

Today Google as well as myself celebrate Jim Hensons 75th birthday to dedicating his life to making other people happy, and for that we thank you Jim. Enjoy the Google Doodle !
