According to an article on Apple Insider, an Apple patent titled ‘Environment Sensitive Display Tag’ published by the US Patent and Trademark Office indicates that the company is planning to add new sensors for a camera and new software features.
The patent application, which was unearthed by Apple Insider, indicates that the company is planning to introduce new software to the device that would support screensavers.

Apple’s patent describes a technology that would use special sensors to display the content or change the orientation of the content that is displayed on the screen.
The current sixth generation iPod Nano device does not come with a camera and users can’t install additional software in addition to what comes with the device.
Apart from the game feature, the patent also shows that motion sensor, a temperature gauge and a microphone. These features could be used for innovative mobile games in the future.
Earlier, a leaked photo of the seventh generation iPod Nano revealed that the company is doing away with the clip on the back to make room for the new camera.
